Abstract

The concept of green and energy-efficient computing has become an essential strategy for tackling the environmental and economic issues that arise from the rapid expansion of information technology. The growing reliance on computers, data centers, and digital devices has resulted in increased energy usage and considerable carbon emissions. Green computing is centered on the design, production, utilization, and disposal of computing devices in a manner that is environmentally sustainable, whereas energy-efficient computing focuses on minimizing power consumption without sacrificing performance. This research underscores the significance of embracing eco-friendly technologies, energy-saving methods, and sustainable IT practices. Additionally, it explores the challenges and opportunities linked to the implementation of green computing solutions. The integration of such practices not only lowers operational expenses but also aids in environmental preservation and promotes sustainable development.
