| Abstract | The rapid adoption of digital financial services has emerged as a key tool in promoting financial inclusion, particularly for rural populations in developing countries. Despite significant advancements in mobile technology and digital banking, rural areas still face numerous challenges in accessing and utilizing these services effectively. Government initiatives aimed at strengthening financial inclusion have played a pivotal role in bridging this gap. This paper explores the accessibility of digital financial services for rural communities, highlighting key obstacles such as low digital literacy, inadequate infrastructure, and limited internet connectivity. The paper also examines various government programs and policies designed to enhance financial inclusion, such as the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Digital India, and the Financial Literacy Campaign. By understanding the challenges and evaluating the effectiveness of these initiatives, this paper seeks to provide insights into how digital financial services can be made more accessible and sustainable for rural populations. The successful implementation of these initiatives could significantly enhance economic empowerment and improve the financial well-being of rural communities. |
