Abstract

Food and nutritional security is a fundamental human right and a prerequisite for achieving sustainable
development. In India, tribal populations face unique challenges regarding food access and nutrition
due to their socio-economic conditions. This study aims to examine the food and nutritional security
of tribal women in Pollachi Taluk, Tamil Nadu, focusing on their dietary practices, access to food, and
health outcomes. Through qualitative and quantitative methods, this research aims to provide insights
into the existing challenges and potential interventions to improve the nutritional status of this
vulnerable population. This research article serves as a comprehensive overview of the challenges and
opportunities related to food and nutritional security for tribal women in Pollachi Taluk. It emphasizes
the importance of targeted interventions to address these issues and improve overall community health.
