Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming higher education environments by acting not just as a set of tools
but as an active pedagogical partner. In recent years, the proliferation of AI has transformed the way children
interact with the world. AI has become ubiquitous, offering unprecedented access to information, entertainment,
and social connectivity. While AI technology presents numerous educational and developmental opportunities,
their overuse has sparked growing concern among parents, educators, and healthcare professionals.
Furthermore, the psychological impact of prolonged screen time, including increased risks of anxiety, depression,
and addiction, has become a pressing public health issue. Artificial Intelligence as a Pedagogical Partner
examines parental control apps, AI-powered monitoring, gamification strategies, and digital wellbeing tools as
solutions. It also synthesizes evidence-based approaches, presents implementation frameworks, and offers
assessment and ethical guidance for academics, administrators, and teacher-educators seeking to harness AI
productively and responsibly to enhance student learning, agency, and equity. Combining quantitative surveys,
qualitative interviews, and experimental studies, the research aims to inform parents, educators, and
policymakers about potential of innovative technologies. Key areas include cognitive and academic
consequences, erosion of interpersonal skills, and physical health risks from sedentary behavior.
