Abstract

This study explores the synergistic relationship between cognitive intelligence (CI) and emotional intelligence
(EI) and their combined influence on student learning effectiveness. While cognitive intelligence supports
reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving, emotional intelligence enhances self-awareness, emotional
regulation, empathy, and interpersonal skills. Using a mixed-methods research design, data were collected from
students and educators through standardized assessments, surveys, interviews, and classroom observations.
Quantitative findings reveal a strong positive correlation between CI, EI, and academic achievement, with
combined CI EI scores showing the highest predictive power. Qualitative findings further demonstrate that
emotional regulation, motivation, and social skills significantly enhance cognitive engagement and learning
resilience. The study highlights the importance of integrating cognitive and emotional intelligence within
educational frameworks to foster holistic student development and prepare learners for complex academic and
real-world challenges.
