Abstract

ABSTRACT:
The rapid growth of digital platforms has transformed the way consumer’s
access products, services, and information. However, this digital shift has
also led to new challenges, such as online fraud, misuse of personal data,
unfair trade practices, and delayed or unclear customer resolutions.
Consumer protection in the digital environment aims to safeguard users
against these risks by ensuring transparency, accountability, and ethical
business practices. Digital grievance redressal mechanisms—such as
online complaint portals, help lines, and automated support systems—play
a crucial role in providing quick and accessible solutions to consumer
issues. This paper examines the importance of strong consumer protection
laws, efficient digital complaint systems, and the need for awareness
among users. It argues that an effective and inclusive digital grievance
redressal framework is essential for building trust, ensuring fair treatment,
and empowering consumers in the digital marketplace.
