Abstract

Pranayama, the ancient yogic practice of controlled breathing, plays a vital role in strengthening the immune system and enhancing overall well-being. Regular practice of pranayama improves oxygen circulation, balances the autonomic nervous system, and reduces stress hormones, which in turn boosts immune function. Techniques such as Anulom Vilom, Bhastrika, and Kapalabhati help purify the body, enhance lung capacity, and promote mental clarity. By harmonizing the body and mind, pranayama supports the body’s natural defense mechanisms, reduces inflammation, and increases resistance to infections. Thus, pranayama serves as a simple yet powerful tool for holistic health and immunity enhancement.
